SUBMISSIONS - Beta
Save Trees, Save Your Nerves - SUBMIT ON THE WEB
Dear Prospective Client,
Thank you for considering Firebrand Literary for representation. It seems like everything we do at Firebrand is a little different - so why should the submission process be exempt? This submission program was designed for ease of use (for both the agents and the authors!) and for practical use. We believe the author should know what’s happening with his/her submission at every step of the process—if his/her submission was received, the approximate reading time for your submission (as reading times fluctuate), and the status of your submission at any given time without worrying whether or not you’re "bothering" the agent.
For more information on what projects and markets we're looking to represent, please visit our Publisher's Marketplace Page:

We hope this system serves your needs as we believe it serves ours.
Please feel free to send us comments and let us know how your experience was as we are always trying to improve all we do.
Happy Writing!

How Does This Work? (click again to hide)
How it Works
- An Author completes the query form on the Firebrand website and hits SEND QUERY.
- Agent receives a query in their System Inbox and an automatic e-mail is sent to the Author to confirm that the query was received.
- The Agent reads the query. If the Agent doesn't feel the project is right for them, they respectfully pass (and the Author receives a form letter). If the Agent thinks the project sounds interesting, they "Invite" the Author to submit their full manuscript.
- The Author receives an e-mail containing a link and passcode for him/her to upload their full manuscript to FB. It is put into a queue for the Agent to read.
- The Author can use the passcode to check on the current status of the project, or to submit additional notes to the Agent (i.e., if the Author won an award and would like the Agent to know while they read the manuscript).
- The Agent reads the manuscript and responds or passes it to another Agent (this gets noted in the Author's section). Author is notified by e-mail if the Agent is passing on the material and may receive an e-mail with personalized comments.
